One more day left in 2013...ready to ring in the new year??
I wish everyone the happiest of New Years! Please be safe while you're out partying.
I hope you'll take a minute to check out my new release with a wedding at midnight...because you're certainly invited :)

Big ménage relationships are a tradition in this small Alaska town...

Sterling New Year

By Cheryl Dragon

Released 12/31/13 by Loose Id

Genre: Contemp MMMF erotic romance

Series: Men of Alaska 1

Blurb:

Melody's stuck in Sterling, Alaska over the holidays, sewing custom dresses for her friend’s wedding. She'll do anything for her friends and is determined to be the best maid of honor she can be. There are just a few very sexy distractions.

Dale, Jason, and Ryan are lovers with an eye out for the right woman to complete their family. They're happy to let Melody use space to make the dresses, but Dale especially doesn’t expect the perfect woman for them to show up in their small town. How are they going to explain Sterling's
unusual relationships. Even so, the trio is definitely interested in more than simply helping out with the wedding but can they win Melody over?

Melody has never been anywhere like Sterling—where group relationships are a tradition. She can’t pass up the experience of three hot men in bed but rearranging her life for them, or any man, is a ridiculous idea. Normal marriages don’t last and she’s had repeat wedding dress clients to prove it. What the quad has is more than sex but they have a lot of baggage to sort through for her to make it a Sterling New Year.

Sitcom Review: The Big Bang Theory 12/12 Christmas Episode (The Cooper Extraction)

The Thanksgiving Episode as good...IMHO...this one was better!!

Why?

Everything!!! It's a Wonderful Life without major depression for one.

Sheldon is removed from the apartment to assist with his sister who is giving birth...sure he's who you want around for that. LOL...so the man who took a train in an episode because he wouldn't fly...flies? He's had to have flown at least twice before but that's another issue (though if I tried to write that...my editor who call me out on it and I'd have to explain the character's change/motivation).

Photo: See things, #BigBangTheory things! Get a sneak peek of tonight's all-new holiday themed episode now: http://bit.ly/1byL51R

Anyway, the rest of the gang (plus poor Stuart...I swear, I'm the secret love child of Stuart and Amy...lol. I never fit in. And fat Stuart because I can never get down to an average size...but back to the story)....We also get to see Leonard and Raj who are sad, alone, and turned to food (wow...no wonder I love this episode!!)

Photo: Re-live what might have been if Raj & Leonard were roommates with this highlight from last night's #BigBangTheory: http://bit.ly/1h88WLt

The gang talk about where they'd be if they'd never met Sheldon. Would they know each other or not? Would Penny be dating Leonard etc...The alternate realities are hysterical! We also get a glimpse of what we already know, Amy has had a big impact on Sheldon. We believe he might have a sexuality and preference. He really was playing that touch phobia so extreme before that gay/straight (who cares!) he was never going to break the "in case of emergency" glass on his chastity belt.

Amy's similarity to him broke through his exterior defenses but her differences, like longing for intimacy and sexual contact, pull Shelly in a new direction. He doesn't want to lose her and like it or not...the guy is hooked!

I think this is one of my favorite episodes. The characters are so well established now in this show that you can imagine them in the different realities and how they'd behave. They're part of our families...even if Penny still annoys me a little. The friendship between Amy and Penny has made me like Penny a lot more than in earlier episodes...the intricate relationships in this sitcom make it worth watching over from the beginning :)

Raising Hope Sitcom review: The Chance Who Stole Christmas

If you love the Grinch...you must watch this episode. Raising Hope is a genius show when it does quirky things like this....I love the show but it truly excels at spinning on classics. Nothing ever goes as planned but that's the fun in the Chance house!

Burt is interim mayor?? Then he cancels the Christmas Fest in town?? Sounds crazy but they explain it, make it work...and the narrator lulls you into that Grinchy-goodness feeling.

The cute inclusion of all the cast and the fun of Maw Maw is all there with a happy ending...and don't try this at home warning :)  I don't want to give it all away...I'd rob you of the joy. I've watched it at least 3 times since it first aired. It's the true holiday happy show I will watch again !!

See it...I'm sure they'll replay it (I hope!) and if you're not DVRing this show...you should be!!

Sitcom Blog: Mike and Molly 12/16 They Shoot Asses, Don't They...

Sorry I've been random! I'll need to do better in the new year. The holidays have taken over my life...I'm sure plenty of people understand. Either it's your stuff or (like me) everyone else's stuff. I don't have kids. I don't have inlaws....but I get dragged to see the nephews and help with everyone else's life choices...lol

So my life is sort of like a sitcom...

On Mike & Molly, I'd be Victoria...no I don't smoke pot (I DON'T need the munchies! I've got the OA issues...) but romance never works out. I get pulled around in my family drama and never seem to be the center...

But let's focus on the episode: "They Shoot Asses, Don't They??

This is a wonderful return of Mike & Molly's balance. It wasn't all about physical comedy from Melissa (I don't mind it in small doses when it fits, I love her movies...but it was overtaking things in episodes earlier this season). Mike gets hurt at work and, rightly, it spooks him.

Anyone with food issue (no wonder, I don't need pot! I have food :)...knows that stress/depression will trigger a return to the bad habits of overeating. We know it, we still do it. That's why it's an addiction and a struggle. Food is hard too, because you need food to live.

Food (like other addictive substances) doesn't judge/lecture or reject.

It certainly doesn't shoot you in the ass! Pizza totally would've been my move and I love that this show gets it and doesn't shy away from it.

Mike slips on his diet in a big way and Vince binges with him (a good comedy duo these two)...Carl's over attachment to his partner shows...but their bond is sweet. It's a wonderful return to the heart that made the show great. We even see Harry at the OA meeting with Mike and Molly.

And Peggy hugs Molly. OMG! lol...heartwarming episode.

I hope M&M keeps up the balance of family/fun/heart/and enough of the new Molly to keep that energy going without overwhelming the rest of the cast/show.

Happy Holidays! I swear I'll keep up the fun once we're in 2014!

New Holiday Short! Holiday Bonus

Holiday Bonus

Includes: MFM, MF, IR, light spanking

12/8/13

By Cheryl Dragon

Mark Alder was completely in love with his wife. The woman could light up a room with her smile alone. Not to mention all those mouthwatering curves. Fortunately, Alia had a sexually adventurous side that just wouldn't quit. So when two friends, and loyal employees, get snubbed on their holiday bonus, Mark has a surprise for them...

Happy Holidays a little early :) I have a new MMMF novella coming at the end of December. No cover yet but it's set at a New Years Eve wedding up in Alaska! Keep your eyes open for : Sterling New Year!

Double the Rear Window in one week of Sitcoms...

There is a thought cloud and it apparently hit Hollywood sitcoms at the same time LOL.

Mike & Molly did their version of Hitchcock's Rear Window...not super convincing. I liked the show...We got Harry back and men playing poker. Molly's physical comedy routines could be staged better (like her sister could've given her the ball seat and tried to help as Molly fell...). Weird neighbor stuff is funny...but the solo physical romps are more SNL skit than sitcom. There are ways to integrate them better with other characters etc...but they're not going for that much.

It was cute but not the only Rear Window themed sitcom...two in one week!

Raising Hope's version was far far better! Burt actually had a broken leg, creepy neighbors were truly disturbing, and Virginia had the cool costumes. It was obvious but well done...the laughs flowed and the quirky characters are established such that it worked. The guest stars were wonderful as well!

Catch the Raising Hope trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zr9V25bZVc0

In the second Raising Hope...Maw Maw treated us to costumes and the rest was about married sex and massages. Two episodes back-to-back makes for a nice Friday hour. The show is established and keeps delivering what we expect and want. Sometimes the plots are hard to explain but that's part of the fun. You have to watch to get it...Photo: Who are the Chances' new neighbors, East Coast? All new back-to-back episodes of Raising Hope start NOW!

Back to the idea cloud. I can't fault either show. I've had it happen with other writers. I was thinking about setting  a ménage in Alaska (Sterling New Year comes to Loose ID 12/31/13). Then I found out two other writer friends are as well....but we'd never talked about it. Mine is contemp MMMF. Another author is doing shifter ménage. Another is writing a MM. lol! So we're NOT borrowing/copying/or anything unethical. We just all went for Alaska for some reason. It's that darn idea cloud that triggers trends and if it's a good idea, why not?

Surviving the Holidays...

I survived Thanksgiving with my nephews...it was chaos. The men in my family really don't lift a finger at all. It's depressing...I want to believe there are good men out there. Sigh...

I'm still tired, lol! I can't wait for the holidays to be done and things back to normal!

I jumped into edits Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday, I did some research/networking for a new project in 2014.

I need to get writing...and blogging again. But I'm still recovering :) Dishes/laundry and such...

I have plenty of writing to do but I'm also distracted. Lots of irons in the fire. My novella Rough Landing will be in Ellora's Cave's Hot Pink releases this June! Loose Id wants my MM contemp for it's Easter's Basket theme :)
Still waiting on something else subbed around the same time...over a month since the deadline. It's annoying really.

I'm a control freak ;) So many options to explore though. Good goals for the new year!

My next release is Sterling New Year 12/31/13 MMMF contemp erotic romance coming to loose id. No cover yet :( but here's the link with blurb! http://www.loose-id.com/sterling-new-year.html
